The officials of the Khulna Field Office of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) visited the activities of the Volunteers Association for Bangladesh (VAB) in Shyamnagar of Satkhira. The Head of the Khulna Field Office of UNICEF, Mr. Md. Kausar Hossain, and Education Officer Mr. Md. Sajidul Islam visited the Shyamnagar Field Office of VAB and the VAB Technical Training Institute on the third floor of the JC Complex in Shyamnagar Sadar, and exchanged views with students, teachers, technical training institute manager and trainer.
Mr. Mina Habibur Rahman, Upazila Academic Supervisor (UAS) of Shyamnagar Upazila Secondary Education Office (USEO) was present as a special guest. Students and teachers of the VAB Bangladesh project schools in Shyamnagar and officials of the field office of VAB greeted the UNICEF officials with flowers. They also informed the latter about various activities of VAB Bangladesh. The activities of VAB Bangladesh were highlighted by students Tazmira Khatun, Debjyoti Biswas, Computer Trainees Mamun and Sabrina of the VAB Technical Training Institute, Field Officer and Manager of the Technical Training Institute Mr. Abdul Alim, Computer Trainer Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Kanthalbaria AG Secondary School’s Headmaster Mr. Md. Azaharul Islam, and Chingrakhali Secondary School’s Headmaster Mr. Joydeb Biswas.
During the hour-long discussion, the officials of UNICEF’s Khulna Field Office learnt the details of VAB Bangladesh’s activities. They expressed their satisfaction with the VAB Bangladesh activities and thanked VAB Bangladesh.
